How do we collect personal data about you?

Personal Data: Any data related to the identified or identifiable natural person, such as:
IP, geolocation, name, ID, taxpayer identification, address, telephone, bank account, vehicle data, among others.
Sensitive Personal Data: Personal data that presents racial or ethnic origin, religious conviction, political opinion, union membership, data relating to health or sex life, genetic or biometric data.

How we process data

There are two situations in which your personal data reach us: when you provide it, directly or indirectly, or when it is actively collected by the Brinox Group. The legal basis for data processing is always consenting.

Occasions when you provide us with your data:

  • When you contact our service channels (customer service center, internet self-service, telesales);
  • When you purchase any of our Products or Services directly from us;
  • When the Brinox Group contacts you.

Occasions when we collect your data:

  • When you browse our website;
  • When you provide through some marketing action produced and broadcast by the brands of the Brinox Group;
  • When we consult external sources, including public data, such as Notary Publics, information disclosed under the Access to Information Law.

Data Usage may include your IP address, geographic location, browser type and version, operating system, time of visit to our websites (“Data Usage”), number of uses of the Services, date of visit, among others. The Data Usage may be carried out for the purpose of analyzing the use of the Brinox Group’s Products and Services.

Registrations can include name, email address, address, taxpayer identification, telephone, among others. Registration Data may be processed for the purpose of operating the Products and Services, providing Products and Services, ensuring security, maintaining a backup of databases and communicating with our customers, including providing and accessing all the features of the Products and Services.

Customer Inquiry Data may include details about your questions and problems with products and/or services and may be handled for the purposes of offering new products and/or services, marketing, updating response processes and improving customer service. The legal basis for the processing of such data is the legitimate interest of the Brinox Group and its customers and the fulfillment of a legal obligation.

Transaction Data may include your address, taxpayer identification, financial, banking and credit card number, among others, and are processed for the provision of products and/or services, file maintenance, compliance with tax obligations.

The legal basis for processing such data is compliance with a legal obligation, specifically tax legislation. We may process your Personal Data for advertising and direct marketing, related to your interests, according to your preferences.

We aim to:

  • Offer products suited to your consumption profile through our own or third-party channels;
  • Ensure your satisfaction;
  • Comply with legal requirements (such as: laws, regulations and resolutions);
  • Meet your needs and expectations;
  • Value fair, dignified, courteous and equitable treatment, ensuring the confidentiality of your information.

You are also entitled to access such personal data, together with certain additional information. This additional information includes details of processing purposes, categories of personal data related and the recipients of the personal data. If the rights and freedoms of third parties are not affected, we will provide you with a copy of your personal data.

How we manage data

  • We constantly adapt our processes to ensure that each one uses only the necessary information;
  • We monitor the use of personal data and analyze suspicions of improper processes under legal and disciplinary aspects;
  • We adopt internal processes and policies that ensure compliance with standards and good practices relating to the protection of personal data;
  • We disseminate the culture of secrecy, privacy and data protection throughout the organization through our communication channels and learning platform;
  • We repudiate and do not authorize the processing of data for discriminatory, illegal or abusive purposes;
  • We have established a data protection incident response plan that is constantly updated;
  • We share personal data with third parties only in the following situations and within the limits required and authorized by the Brazilian General Data Protection Law and other applicable legislation:
    1. With companies contracted to carry out activities and services on behalf of the Brinox Group, such as: correspondence and products sending, research conducting, targeted marketing actions, etc.;
    2. With companies from the economic conglomerate of which the Brinox Group is part;
    3. With suppliers and partners to carry out the services contracted with the Brinox Group;
    4. As a result of a legal obligation, determination of a competent authority or court decision.

This means our subsidiaries, our controllers and all of their subsidiaries, to the extent reasonably necessary for the purposes stated and in accordance with applicable law, as well as observing the legal bases of processing stated in the complete policy.

To the extent reasonably necessary for the purposes of obtaining or maintaining insurance coverage, managing risks, obtaining professional advice or engaging, exercising or defending administrative, arbitration and/or legal actions. Furthermore, we may disclose your data to our suppliers to provide you with products and/or services and to ensure the security of your use. Financial transactions relating to our Products and Services are processed by our payment service providers, and we only share transaction data to the extent necessary for the purposes of processing your payments, refunding amounts and handling inquiries related to these matters. By using these privacy controls, you can specify how you want the Brinox Group to process your Personal Data. We adopt the best security practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of collected data, adding protection mechanisms against misuse, unauthorized access attempts, fraud, sabotage, and theft.

Made up of representatives from the Legal, IT, Quality and Compliance Department, responsible for representing the Brinox Group before the owners and Brazilian Data Protection Authority, as well as for general guidance regarding the processing of Personal Data at the Brinox Group.
